I actually enjoy these. I much prefer the video updates to the written updates; they're more comforting somehow.

That's one hell of a basement. I thought all the good dungeons were in Europe.

Dave, have you ever considered acupuncture? It may help to lessen the pain for your hand and could even help recovery!

OOOhhhh... Those pages on the wall behind Dave looked tasty. Enjoying these videos as well. Much more personable.

Haunted house basement and Dave giving us the tour (or, "tour") with those creepy glowing eyes...

Man, if the physiotherapist makes small talk with Dave, it must be really interesting:

"So, it's ok if I sign autographs until it starts to hurt?"

"Yes. Autographs. Sure. You can 'sign' 'autographs' until your wrist starts to bother you. For your 'fans'."

"Oh good. After that, I'm filming a tour of my basement for my weekly online update."

"O...K...filming your basement. How about them Leafs?"

hee hee

I like the video updates. I look forward to how out of touch Dave will show himself next week ;)

Beware leaky Kitchener basements, the bane of so many of us in our chidlhood comic collecting. My wrinkled Silver Age collection (the earliest issues stored on the bottom) tells the tale. Going deeper towards the water table in the quest for ten foot ceilings, recommends floatation devices for off white house file copies.

Last time we were down there, it was pretty musty. I see in the video our old filing cabinet we passed on to Dave.

Yes, I was wondering about the water issue. Is storing paper in an Ontario basement really a wise long-term preservation strategy?

The Haunted Basement of The Off-White House was one of the Kitchen Kids' favourite parts of their Aardvark-Vanaheim tour.

Mike, your kids's eyes must have been saucer-wide! I got the creeps just seeing the red-ish, gold-ish, creep-ish glow in Dave's eyes, in the video.

Lucky you, and your family!

I didn't get the basement tour, though he showed me the old deck's trap door.

I once wrote that, if Dave died before us, it would be because he slipped and fell on the stairs below that deck.

Well, that's gone now, I guess.

So, good for Dave, and good for us...

Still.

How I wish I could have seen that basement during the Dave-n-Ger archiving days, circa '04 to '08...
